What's New!
MAGILLA
– Heaven Hi’s Dancing As Fast As I Can – is WINNERS DOG at
the 2008 AMTC National Specialty over the biggest Standard entry ever!!! ************************************************** HEREEEEEEEEEEES BLITZ!!! Ch. Mach 5 Burmack's Hvn Hi V Bovi CD, RN, XF
The most titled Toy Manchester in the
history of Agility, Blitz belongs to an amazing young lady named Arlene Spooner
and was bred by myself, Jim Burrows and Judi Flischaker but honesty compels me
to admit that this was really Judi’s idea. A good one obviously. Along with being an Agility phnom, Blitz is a lovely, personable dog who enjoys
everything he does. Me and Grandma Twist are very proud of him and of
Arlene.
BOUNCE AND CAROL WIN VERY STRONG TOY GROUP AT FLATIRONS KENNEL CLUB JUNE 2, 2007 April
Remember
April, the baby featured on our Foundation page? This is her at six
months demonstrating one of her only two gears; Full Speed and Stop.
She went through some awkward stages and I was beginning to wonder if calling
her “April” (she was born on April Fools Day) was really that good
an idea but she did indeed make my heart happy.
Patience
is a virtue (and I want it NOW!!). This photo was taken in Lincoln, Nebraska in October of 06 just about a year later. Patience really paid off in
this case. April (aka Heaven Hi’s Foolish Pleasure) is shown
receiving her awards for taking the second of the two majors she needed to
obtain her Championship. This was a supported entry and the last show of
our National Specialty week end. She was Winners Bitch and Best of
Winners for five points – the most you can win at one time. I am
very proud of the fact that she has taken all of her points from the Bred By
Exhibitor class. She needs just two more points to complete her titleTaking all her points from BBE will qualify her for competition at the
Eukanuba/AKC National Championship show in 07. I’m really hoping we
are able to go.
Champion Heaven Hi’s Foolish Pleasure “Oh, the weather outside was frightful”, more like New Years than Valentine’s but April didn’t let that slow her down in Indianapolis. She went Best of Variety on Thursday which
gave her the two points she needed to finish. I’d promised to leave
her in classes to hold a major entry on Saturday and she took that too so she
finished with three majors. ************************************************** JADE FLASH – at one year and two weeks Jade
finished her Championship with a Best of Variety
This is Jade - Heaven Hi's Spirit Dancer. She is a half sister to April (her sire is our own Ch. Tudorian's Foreign Exchange)and she was my pick of the litter. She was also Rachael McClister's pick of the litter and after giving it a lot of thought we decided on a co-ownership. She is pictured on her second dog show where she not only took her first points but frosted the cake by winning the Puppy Group!! She was just barely six months old. We were all thrilled.
She and Rachel joined the trek to the National in October. Jade had been doing extremely well and already had three major wins to her credit. We had high hopes for her chances in Puppy Sweepstakes but I was very disappointed when I learned that she would be in a class of one during the regular competition. With the numbers and quality of dogs I was expecting to see there, I kept cautioning Rachel not to expect too much. It's just too easy for judges to overlook a dog who didn't have to beat anybody to get into Winners. Well, so much for my forty plus years of dog show experience....Jade had obviously never heard of this problem and charmed the socks off Judge Jon Cole both in her class and in Winners. She came away with Winners Bitch and an Award of Merit; one of only four Mr. Cole awarded. Just to really teach me a lesson she went on to take Reserve Winners Bitch the following day which leaves her needing only one point to finish her Championship. I am very proud of her and of Rachel. **************************************************
Bounce arrived here just about a year ago and, right from the start, she has had plenty to say! Bred by my friend, Elud Archuletta-Cressler in Colorado, Bounce is yet another Twist Great-Granddaughter. Her mother, Ch. Splash’s Evolution was the number five bitch in the country in 2004 and her dad, American/Canadian Ch. Burmack Gaenja’s Crusader At Fwaggle (try saying that real fast!) is currently the number one dog in Canada and multiple Best In Show winner there. Her paternal Grandfather is the amazing “Jumpin Jake”, Am/Can Ch. Fwaggle’s Tapman at Burmak. He is also a multiple Best in Show winner and came out of retirement this year to take yet another Best of Breed win at the Manchester Terrier Club of America. Not only did Bounce have a lot to talk about; she had big pawprints to fill. It
didn’t take her long to prove she had the stuff. She took back to
back Best of Variety wins over a Special Last September she was WB four of the five days at the Lexington cluster. In October we packed up and headed for the AMTC National in Lincoln. Bounce caught the eye of
Mrs. Mildred Kaye Bryant on the first day and ended up with Winners Bitch and
Best of Winners for five points. That was her tenth show and the win
finished her Championship title. Talk about living up to your
pedigree! She is now Champion Big Mouth. Actually Champion Splash’s
Dancin In The Moonlite. And the fun is just beginning.
